Jackson, Wyoming is fortunate to be the starting point of the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race (IPSSSDR). Each year, Jackson has been involved in the largest dog sled race to take place in the lower forty-eight states. From Jackson, through the snow covered landscape of Wyoming and finally ending in Park City, Utah, the IPSSSDR, is a favorite winter event for mushers, dogs and spectators alike.
Festivities take place in late January every year. Join in on all the fun by heading to Jackson Town Square to watch the race begin. Sleds make their way through town to the base of Snow King where mushers, locals, and visitors can take part in a party and watch a torchlight parade and fireworks. This is a great event for all ages to enjoy. Dress warmly!
