During the winter months the paved roads in Yellowstone National Park are not plowed. Therefore the only motorized access to the interior of the park is by snowmobile or "snowcoach".

wheels removed and replaced with large rubber treads.They offer a smooth
and quiet ride.
Plus they have heaters and the drivers are very knowledgeable of the area.
The guides will even stop when asked and allow you to photograph the park's
geysers and wildlife.
