Several outdoor ice skating rinks are open free of charge seven days a week, temperatures permitting. The Crystal Springs Pond Ice Rink at the base of the Jackson Hole Ski Resort offers free public skating, as does the Grand Targhee Ice Rink at the base of Grand Targhee Ski Resort (skate rentals available there). The elementary school rink at 155 East Gill in Jackson is small, but adequate for children.

There are two outdoor hockey rinks, one at the base of Snow King Ski Area and one in the town of Wilson, west of Jackson. These are available for recreation whenever hockey or broomball games or practice sessions are not scheduled. These rinks are lit from 6 to 10 pm. Please call 733-5056 for more information.
